Danya Holley

Singer Songwriter

Danya Holley is an American singer-songwriter from Texas who was born and raised in rural North Carolina.  She moved to Texas many years ago and began writing songs with her co-writer and producer, Eric Michael McKinney of Wonderland Studios Texas.  Their first original single, “Lost in Sin” was released in 2024.

She was formerly known as Danya Yousef and was the first foreign female with no previous Arabic training to learn Arabic and record an entire album of Egyptian pop music.  Her debut album, “El Layla A’Shoofak” received positive reviews and radio play.

Throughout her musical career she has fronted Top 40s, Jazz, Country, and Mexican bands. Danya also has a background in performing a vast array of classical music.

Danya is a Registered Nurse with Masters degrees in Nursing and Medical Sociology with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies. She is a United States Navy Veteran with a background in linguistics. She speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic.

Her music fuses several styles together such as Country, Americana, Jazz, and Rock, creating its’ own original sound.

Danya’s lyrical style is poetic, flowing, and metaphorical. Her singing style utilizes techniques she learned from Opera, Jazz, and Middle Eastern music to create a vibrant sound.
